Complete Guide
Name: IronGiant
Guild: not provided
Server: Set
Raid Type: 6 Player
Dungeon: Xibaluku (80)
I am no expert, but this is how I run Xib, and it works for me. I will not cover how to kill the worm boss, because spawning and killing him is an entire guide in itself.
BOSS #1 Repadis: Clear the room the get up on the bone pile above him, casters on bones, tank in front of bones. Tank shoots him to pull him up. After he is up there is will spawn a group of archer minions every minute or so. Burn the minions down as fast as possible and get back on the boss. Keep the tank alive cause this boss hits hard.
BOSSES #2 Man and Dog: They are in room behind Repadis. One heavy will shoot and aggro the dog while the rest of the group kills the man. Kite the dog around until the man is dead. The man can do two things, he can send a random group member to one of the jail cells where you will have to fight a random minion then loot a key to get out and back to the fight. He can also call the dog back to him. If he calls the dog, the kiting heavy needs to run over and get aggro ASAP and resume kiting. Once the man is dead kill the dog and the chest in the back of the room will have a blue item.
BOSS #3 The Stairs: YES I call the stairs a boss! This is because they probably cause more groups to quit out of frustration than any other thing in the zone. There is a trick though. The golen can not be damaged and will aggro based on sound. (HE IS BLIND) So, the trick is to HIDE and walk slowly past him and down the stairs to the left avoiding the spikes in the floor. The bats that fly over head will cause a DoT if you are not hidden but if you ARE hidden then they do NOTHING. Go down the stairs in a single file line with a heavy in front and a dps caster or healer behind him. Stay still, but kill the minions that path up and down the bridge, hide again then make your way down until you get to the bottom of the bridge. If someone in your group does not have a single point in hide, they suck, and you will have to have a heavy in front and a heavy in back that stays behind to get the golems attention. The golen does a AE knockback that will knock you onto spikes, into bats, off bridge, so the last heavy in line should just turn him toward the wall and eat the dmg for a while, giving the others time. At the end the heavy will run back into the room to lose aggro, hide, then make their way down unhindered. This is all pretty diffiult to do in one try normally.
BOSS #4 Balko: Kill all the minions in front of him and the new ones that spawn. They will stop eventually. Get over by the torch to your right in front of Balko. He is a pure caster, so put resists up. Squishies should stay back away to avoid he AE. He does one called Mana Discharge and all non heavies should get away when you see him start this, it is massive dmg AE. Apart from this, tank and spank him.
BOSS #5 Easy ToS boss: I can\'t even remember this one\'s name, but he is easy and in the room to the right before the pedestal boss. Tank and spank him in his room. He will spawn a group of adds from the bone pile in the corner and they need to be burnt down ASAP. All but one of the adds will run out and attack the group, the one that stays is a healer and will begin to heal the boss if not killed quickly.
BOSS #6 Martyr: The Martyr boss is the hardest in the zone because of the complicated method of doing the pedestals. He has four pedestals behind him with orbs on top. Clicking one will cause one of four platforms to appear leading to a 5th pedestal on the wall behind the Martyr. Clicking this th pedestal will lower the boss health to 5% and he is easy to kill, but you have to get to it first. Each time you click a pedestal, a new platform will appear and in about a second the previous platform that was there from the last pedestal you clicked will dissapear. Therefore, one person will click the pedestals while communicating with another person who will jump from platform to platform. The order of the pedestals resets each time the boss resets, so you cannot just write down what you get if you wipe and use that. It is just trial and error. One trick is to only find the pedestals for the 2nd and 4th platform and make the longer jumps to get the the 5th pedestal. Another trick is to reform the group around a nonessential class and have that member stand all the way down the hall from where you came and stand against the wall. The minions the boss spawns will aggro the group leader and run up and down the hall never quite getting to them, and never aggroing the group. So to recap, 2 members doing pedestals and jumping, 1 member standing down the hall, and the 3 others will be tanking the boss as long as they can. Heal the tank heavily as this can take a while and he will be eating lots of dmg in the mean time.
BOSS #7 Tia Shar: This is an interesting fight, but easy. Tia spawns one minion at a time that walk slowly toward a random group member. If they reach you, they and you will explode instantly. Then she spawns another minion that does it again. So, the trick is to pull Tia up on to the bridge. The minion will spawn from where she was originally standing. The entire group will tank and kill Tia while one person tags the minion that spawns and kites it around, keeping it alive. This prevents more minions from spawning and negates the entire threat. Just don\'t get too close to the minion you are kiting or BOOM!
BOSS #8 The Red One: This guy is a pain in the butt sometimes cause he is buggy. Fight him in his room. Casters get behind the stone pillar and use it for cover if you get aggro. You can dodge back and forth behind it and the Red One has to run al the way around to get at you. Just DPS this guy as fast as you can cause he hits very hard. He also AE fears so the tanks will most likely lose his aggro, hence the pillar strategy.
BOSS #9 Jal Kor Bloodbane: This is the main boss of the zone. As soon as he is damaged, the room he is in seals off and you can\'t excape til one of you is dead. There is a way to get him out though. Have a pet class stand at the mouth of the tunnel you entered through and send a pet in to hit him then back into the tunnel. If you do this right you can get him into the tunnel and fight him in there. He spawns a ghost pet from the pool he was in that is REALLY slow but tries to follow him around. If the pets gets near him, he becomes invincible, so if the pets get to you where you are fighting just run further down the tunnel and continue to kill the boss. He is simple tank and spank otherwise.
That's the end of Xibaluku, minus the special worm boss. Until they fix how he is spawned. Although I don't think he is worth your trouble. - Radeus (Set)
